Thanks for the feedback. This is a great question, and it took me a while to process it. I don't know. But I think we can differentiate natural from induced changes by looking at function and adaptability before appearance or diagnosis.
A natural variant in the right environment = unnoticed/unproblematic. A natural variant in the wrong environment = disorder/diagnosable traits, but not necessarily injured. And, a natural variant that’s modified or interfered with = disability.
